Toastmasters

  • Joined 1st April 1982 as a Chater member of Springwood

  • Joined Talkabout in Perth, July 1987, after a work transfer

  • Transferred to Indooropilly in Brisbane, February 1989, job relocation

  • Charter member at Glenbrook, September 1990

  • At various times a member of Emu Heights (Charter Member), Credit Union (Charter Member), The Gourmet, Sydney Singles (Charter Member) now Sydney Sunday Morning, Western Gourmet, and Northern Beaches clubs​​​

  • Currently a member of 3 clubs, Concord Yaralla since October 1991, Sydney Travellers as a Charter Member June 2005, and Hornsby Achievers from September 2024.

When I completed the requirements for the Distinguished Toastmaster Award (DTM) in 1997, the award came in the form of a Certificate.

 

When I completed the requirements for a second DTM in 2006, plaques had replaced Certificates.

Here Kathy is in the shop which was part of HQ.

The office of Headquarters was located in Rancho Santa Margarita, California, from 1990, and was moved to Englewood, Colorado in 2018.
